(if you dont have any lockpicks you can craft them with a repair hammer + nails, or buy them from the vendor at the beach that sells geomancer skillbooks. You can simply drag them from your non imprisoned char to the one in jail through the shared inventory. Once in jail, you need your seccond character to send you some lockpicks.
